After completing a grueling 12-hour shift, the man embarked on his journey home late at night. The route he had to take led him along a rural, dimly lit one-way highway. The road was characterized by numerous winding turns and curves, posing a significant risk of encountering deer that could unexpectedly dart across the path. Given these conditions, it was a road that demanded utmost caution and no room for careless maneuvers.
The Police Were Watching
In order to ensure the safety of all drivers, the road enforced a speed limit of 55 mph. Like many others, the man acknowledges that he used to exceed this limit in the past. However, he recently observed an increase in police activity targeting speeding motorists. Furthermore, on this particular night, the road was enveloped in complete darkness, adding to the already challenging driving conditions. Compounded by his exhaustion from work, the man recognized the importance of adhering to the speed limit and driving cautiously.
He Didn’t Want to Risk It
He wasn’t taking any chances in these conditions and made sure he stuck to the 55 mph limit.
He cruised along for a little while, then noticed another car speeding up behind him.

“He starts flashing his lights, making it seem like he wants to pass,” he said. “There’s no shoulder, so I can’t just pull over and let him go. Also, there’s no one else out on the roads at this hour, and there hasn’t been for the whole drive. He could easily pass me.”

The guy couldn’t help but feel a sense of satisfaction as he witnessed the jerk getting pulled over by the authorities.
By skillfully provoking the tailgater and making him lose his composure, the guy successfully orchestrated a situation where the tailgater ended up facing legal consequences.
