The woman got a new job
“Quite some time ago, I started as a first-year teacher,” she explained. “Anyone who is a teacher can tell you the first few years are especially rough, but it’s even worse when your administration is completely toxic.”
The assistant principal was horrible
There was one incredibly toxic person—the assistant principal. She made the woman’s first year feel horrible. “From day one, she decided she didn’t like me and had it out for me,” she said. “She would try to write me up for anything she could.”
The assistant principal encouraged bullying
She encouraged everyone else to get on the teacher’s case as well. She badmouthed this woman to the whole admin team and other teachers. “She made my new team think I was a complete train wreck,” she said.
Things got worse
Very quickly, the situation took a turn for the worse. The assistant principal placed her on probation, and even though her classes were performing exceptionally well, she remained under probation. The woman believed that this action was orchestrated to prevent her from qualifying for a raise.
She looked for a new job
The woman couldn’t take this treatment anymore. She started applying for new jobs and soon found one, so she thought the assistant principal was out of her life forever, but she wasn’t.
The assistant principal still had it out for her
A few months into her new role, she discovered that the assistant principal was still saying nasty things about her and spreading rumors. She was furious, so she decided to take revenge. “It made me really angry,” admitted the woman. “But it also solidified my desire to do well and push myself.”
She worked hard
She started doing really well at her new school and received a lot of praise and support from the new administration. Meanwhile, her former assistant principal wasn’t doing so well. Thanks to an anonymous tip, her school was under investigation for cheating on test scores and not having proper safeguards or support for kids with special needs.
The assistant principal got the blame
The assistant principal lost her job because the rest of the administrative staff turned on her.

The woman is now thriving in her new job, and to make things even sweeter, she regularly snoops on her former boss’s social media. From what she can see, the former assistant principal still hasn’t found a post at another school, and given that her reputation is in ruins, she probably never will.
