Singer Zara Larsson Thinks That If You Don’t Want To Hear People Talking During A Movie, Then You Shouldn’t Go To The Cinema

In the TikTok video, Larsson gets ready to tackle the topic by saying, “we need to talk about this,” She then launches into a speech on how cinema culture needs to change.

The singer confidently said, “isn’t the whole thing about watching something with other people in the same room, to experience it together, to laugh and scream and have full-on analyses of the characters while watching it?”

She then took a dig at those who don’t like to talk while watching movies saying, “if you want to sit in silence in like a stone, just go home.”

It’s evident that Larsson is aware of her controversial opinion as she stated, “sorry, I am that person. Take me to jail. I’m gonna be disrespectful every time. I will say things during the movie. I will say a lot of things. That is what it should be like.”

With Larsson’s video going viral, the reactions have poured in, with almost every comment disagreeing with the singer.

One user wrote: Worst take ever unlocked.”

Another wrote, “yes, it’s a shared experience… and that’s exactly why you shouldn’t be talking. It’s not like you’re having a full-on conversation with the entire room. I feel like we should change the culture around going to see a movie. It should always be chitty-chatty in the cinema.”

Reuter journalist Samuel George Baugh first appeared to support Larsson by tweeting, “Everyone canceling Zara Larsson on the tl right now. But I won’t stand for it. Zara Larsson can talk at the movies all she wants. It’s ok. I’ll just buy another ticket.”

However, 24 hours later, he made it clear it was a joke.

What do you think of Larsson’s ‘hot take’? Do you agree?
