Worker Gets Revenge on Boss From Hell by Convincing Everyone To Go on Sick Leave

A lady recently shared details online about a horrible experience she encountered with her boss during a short-lived summer job.

It was a summer job at a camp for kids. The lady found the job attractive because the pay was good, and she wanted to work with children. 

She saw some red flags initially but decided to take the job since she needed the money and didn’t have any other offers at the time. 

The first concern was related to the hiring process, which she found odd. ‘’I was called unexpectedly by a woman who later became my boss. She spoke for over two hours and asked some weird questions,’’ she said. 

The other thing she found bizarre was the two-day job training. Even though the training lasted the whole day on both days, she wasn’t paid for it. Apparently, it was a non-mandatory exercise. 

However, the woman was made a team lead, which meant that she could develop her leadership skills and increase her value in the job market. It seemed like a great opportunity.

The chaos started on day 1 when over 20 children showed up at the camp, but there was no way to confirm the attendees as there was no paperwork for the woman to go through.

Several boxes with toys and camp materials for the kids were also missing, so the camp leaders had to improvise, which proved incredibly difficult. 

On day 3, the boxes arrived, but the camp material was rubbish.

The lady and her team did their best to work with the materials they had and did everything they could to ensure the kids were well-engaged in several activities. 

One of the activities the kids loved was the decoration of little instruments, which they took home afterward. When the camp boss arrived to check on things, she was angry that they had allowed the kids to take the instruments home. She shouted at the camp leaders in front of the kids, and this was just the beginning.

The boss showed up at camp several times after the incident, and she always complained in an unprofessional manner. 

She claimed they were not following training instructions which the woman found hilarious as she had been given no instructions at all. She said,‘’ I attended the entire training, and she just talked about her personal life and gave no instructions’’.

Over time the boss continued to be rude, and she mistreated the majority of the staff and even the kids. She would prevent workers from going home after a ten-hour shift and deprive staff of breaks during 12-hour shifts.

The breaking point for the lady was when the boss became abusive to the children. She had scolded a little girl for not understanding how to do a Covid test. She said to the girl, ‘’you are dumb as a rock for not knowing the difference’’. The little girl almost cried and never returned to the camp.

The boss also shouted at the staff for calling an ambulance when a little boy fell and hurt his head. She was furious in case his parents found out.

The lady had enough, so she decided to go to the hospital and ask for sick leave due to stress and mental strain. The doctor signed her off, and of course, this didn’t go down well with the camp boss as the leave was paid.

The lady didn’t care. The boss had been so abusive towards her staff that she deserved to be taught a lesson.

So the lady encouraged her teammates to follow in her footsteps and also call in sick. Furthermore, she took all the records home and changed the password to her email to further frustrate her boss. 

In the end, the lady was paid for two whole months of sick leave. Her boss lost several workers and customers, which led to the business going downhill.
