The Manager’s Son Refused To Do Any Work, So His Co-Worker Finally Had Enough and Made Him Cry

A man recently had enough of his lazy coworker who never pulled his weight. The man shouted and embarrassed the coworker, causing him to cry in front of everyone!

The man is now wondering if he went too far.

Here is what he had to say.

The 33-year-old man works at a Lumber Mill.

One of his work colleagues is a 25-year-old man who also just happens to be the son of one of his managers.

“He’s a cool enough guy and I feel like I would probably get along with him well enough if we didn’t work together,” he said.

“The unfortunate issue is we do, and he’s the classic management’s son profile. He sits on his phone while we are supposed to be working ALL the time. Even in front of management.”

The 25-year-old’s father is about to be rewarded with a corporate promotion, and the remaining members of management are nervous about stepping on his toes about it.

Due to his upcoming promotion, the man’s son not only feels untouchable at work but is, to a certain extent.

While people around him work, the man sits on his phone and, in other instances, simply walks away from jobs that he does not want to do and tries to order around his coworkers.

He has crashed a forklift into the building on three separate occasions. In one instance, he damaged a bay door, and repairs ended up costing around $150,000!

Despite all of this, nothing has happened.

Now, the man is well-liked at his place of work, both by his coworkers and management.

“I make a point to be super kind to each person around me, jump in if someone is struggling, and I don’t like to see people get overwhelmed,” he said.

“I try to be a model employee and someone people can trust to help them if it’s needed. We are a team of 45 people, and I want them all to know they can depend on me.”

One day, one of his colleagues had too large a load on their shoulders and fell hard and hurt themselves.

Watching was the manager’s son, who did nothing as the situation unfolded.

The man rushed to his coworker’s aid, getting the lumber off of his body and checking on him before taking him to receive medical attention.

He then managed to scout out his manager’s son in a large group of people, and he could no longer contain himself.

He started shouting at the guy in front of everyone, highlighting just how much of an unreliable worker he was, emphasizing that he was constantly on his phone and lazy.

All the workers around him nodded in agreement.

But the man couldn’t have predicted what was about to happen.

Instead of shouting back, the manager’s son blushed and began to cry.

He left work for the day and was finally put on probation following the incident due to his lazy work ethic.

However, the man started to feel bad about shouting at the manager’s son and has since apologized. He took the time to calmly explain that his unprofessional habits were endangering the other people with whom he worked.

The man offered to mentor the manager’s son so that his work ethic could improve, and the son accepted and also apologized for his behavior.

Though the man faced no consequences for his actions, he asked the Reddit community if he was wrong for shouting at the manager’s son.

One user said, “this kid is going to learn one way or another what it means to be a team member.”

Another said, “he’s lucky it’s a peer yelling at him, and nobody was seriously injured due to his negligence and apathy.”

What do you think? Was the man right for shouting at the manager’s son?
