They say that revenge is a dish best served cold, but this man took it one step further and served his sweet revenge frozen. Here’s what went down.
People used his driveway
The man lives in a quiet cul-de-sac. He has a big house with a driveway but no car. So it’s not unusual for his neighbors or visitors to use his drive to turn around.
He was cool
Generally, the man is pretty chill out about it. But sometimes, one jerk driver will take his generosity too far.
He wouldn’t stop honking
“One of my neighbors had a ride service come to pick up their child every day,” said the man. The driver always waited on this man’s driveway. But that wasn’t the problem. The problem was that the driver insisted on honking his horn every single morning.
He spoke to the neighbor
He tried to be civil about it. “I asked my neighbor to request that the driver stop honking his horn.” They did, but the driver ignored it and kept on honking.
The driver ran over the bin
Then, as if he was getting his revenge on the man, the driver ran over his recycling bin parked in the driveway. The man couldn’t take it anymore. He called up the ride service and complained about the driver.
He was mad
The driver was furious when he found out. “I woke up the next day to pounding on my door,” said the man. It was the driver, and the pair had a massive argument on the doorstep.
It was his property
The man told the driver to stay off his property, including the driveway. It was now off-limits. The driver said he didn’t care and told the man that he’d continue to park (and honk) when and wherever he liked.
It was time for revenge
There’s no way this man was going to let that stand. So he decided to take sweet revenge.
It was freezing
The weather where he lives in Canada dropped to -40 Celsius. That’s freezing, but it also presented a perfect opportunity to get his own back on the rude and entitled driver.
He set a trap
One night, he filled several garbage bags with water, sealed them off, and left them at the bottom of his driveway. By the next day, they were all as hard as ice rocks.
He crashed
But to the jerk driver, they looked like regular trash bags. So when he drove over them to make a point, he caused some serious damage to the back of his car.
The cops came
He was raging. He even called the cops, telling them his car had been vandalized.
The cops didn’t care
But the cops were on the homeowner’s side. One cop took the driver aside and said, “He asked you not to park here if you couldn’t refrain from honking, then warned you not to park here. Now you expect him to be charged and pay for damages you caused yourself to your vehicle in an attempt to destroy his own personal property?” The driver had nothing to say to that.
It was sweet
The man will never forget the look on the jerk driver’s face when he realized that he’d walked, or should we say driven, right into a revenge trap. It was so sweet, and he never saw the driver again. Revenge complete.
